The motor absorbs energy from the grid through the stator, converts electrical energy into mechanical energy and outputs it through the rotor part; different loads have different requirements on the performance indicators of the motor.
In order to intuitively describe the adaptability of the motor, the technical specifications of the motor product have made necessary agreements on the performance indicators of the motor. The performance indicators of different series of motors have moderate tendency requirements according to different applicability. Performance indicators such as efficiency, power factor, starting and torque can comprehensively characterize the performance level of the motor.
Efficiency is the percentage of motor output power relative to input power. From the point of view of use, the higher the efficiency of the motor product, the more work it will do under the same power consumption. The most direct result is the energy saving and power saving of the motor. This is why the country is vigorously promoting high-efficiency motors. A prerequisite for more customer approval.
The power factor reflects the ability of the motor to absorb electric energy from the grid. A low power factor means that the performance of the motor absorbing energy from the grid is poor, which naturally increases the burden on the grid and reduces the energy utilization rate of the power generation equipment. For this reason, in the technical conditions of motor products, specific requirements and regulations will be made on the power factor of the motor. During the application process of the motor, the power management department will also verify the compliance of the motor power factor through inspection.
Torque is the key performance index of the motor. Whether it is the starting process or the running process, the compliance of the torque directly affects the operation effect of the motor. Among them, the starting torque and the minimum torque reflect the starting ability of the motor, while the maximum torque reflects the ability of the motor to resist the load during operation.
When the motor starts under the rated voltage, its starting torque and minimum torque cannot be lower than the standard, otherwise it will cause serious consequences of slow or even stagnant starting of the motor because it cannot drag the load; during the starting process, the starting current is also A very critical factor, excessive starting current is unfavorable to the grid and the motor. In order to achieve the comprehensive effect of large starting torque and small starting current, necessary technical measures will be taken in the rotor part during the design process.
