The electrical braking of three-phase asynchronous motors is commonly used for reverse braking, energy-consuming braking, and regenerative braking for generating braking.

Electric braking methods include reverse braking, energy consumption braking, capacitor braking, and regenerative braking (also known as feedback braking, regenerative braking, and power generation regenerative braking). It is mainly used in machine tools, cranes and some commonly used automatic control systems.
Since the rotor and the stator rotating magnetic field of the three-phase asynchronous motor rotate in the same direction and at different speeds, there is a slip, so it is called a three-phase asynchronous motor.
Three-phase asynchronous motors are made into large motors. It is generally used in large industrial equipment with triple-phase power.
The symmetrical 3-phase windings of the three-phase asynchronous motor are fed with symmetrical 3-phase currents to generate a rotating magnetic field, and the magnetic field lines cut the rotor windings. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, e and i are generated in the rotor windings, and the rotor windings are affected by electromagnetic forces in the magnetic field, that is Electromagnetic torque is generated to make the rotor rotate, and the rotor outputs mechanical energy to drive the mechanical load to rotate.
In AC motors, when the stator winding passes AC current, the armature magnetomotive force is established, which has a great influence on the energy conversion and running performance of the motor.
Therefore, the three-phase AC winding is connected to the three-phase AC to generate pulse vibration magnetomotive force, which can be decomposed into two rotating magnetomotive forces with equal amplitude and opposite speed, so as to establish forward and reverse magnetic fields in the air gap . These two rotating magnetic fields cut the rotor conductor and generate induced electromotive force and induced current respectively in the rotor conductor.
