On November 6, we learned from the official that with the commissioning of NIO battery swap stations at Jinke Wangfu Hotel in Suzhou New District, the total number of NIO battery swap stations across the country has exceeded 1200. NIO will continue to deploy and achieve the goal of deploying more than 1,300 power swap stations by the end of the year.
NIO’s second-generation power exchange station can automatically park vehicles. Users can start self-service power exchange with one key in the car without getting out of the car. The power exchange process only takes 3 minutes. Weilai has provided users with nearly 14 million battery swap services. As of November 6, 66.23% of NIO users’ residences or offices are within 3 kilometers from the NIO battery swap station.
At present, NIO has built a total of 1,200 battery swap stations (including 324 expressway battery swap stations) and 2,049 charging stations (11,815 charging piles ) in the Chinese market, with access to over 590,000 third-party charging stations. In 2022, NIO will build over 1,300 battery swap stations, over 6,000 over-charging piles, and over 10,000 destination charging piles in the Chinese market.
A total of 324 high-speed power exchange stations have been deployed nationwide, and a high-speed power exchange network of “five vertical, three horizontal and five major urban agglomerations” has been established. In 2025, a high-speed power exchange network in nine vertical and nine horizontal 19 urban agglomerations will be fully completed.
