Tesla may launch a passenger/cargo dual-purpose van model that can be freely defined in 2024, which is expected to be based on Cybertruck.
Tesla may be preparing to launch an electric van in 2024, with production starting at its Texas plant in January 2024, according to planning documents released by a U.S. auto industry analyst firm. If the news (not confirmed by Tesla) is accurate, the new model will be built on the same platform as Cybertruck or based on the latter.
Judging from the imaginary pictures obtained overseas, this van may be launched in two versions with windows and closed cargo compartments. The purpose of the two vehicles is also obvious: the window version is used to carry passengers, and the closed cargo box is used for cargo transportation. Judging from the size of the Cybertruck, it may have a longer wheelbase and interior space performance than the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

In July of this year, Elon Musk hinted that a “highly customized smart van (Robovan) that can be used to carry people or cargo” is also planned. However, Tesla has not yet confirmed this news, because Musk also said earlier that a lower and more entry-level model will be launched in the future, but if the news is accurate, Robovan may be unveiled in 2023.
