On November 29 local time, BYD held a media test drive event in Mexico, and debuted two new energy models, Han and Tang, in the country. These two models are expected to be launched in Mexico in 2023. In addition, BYD also announced that it has reached cooperation with eight Mexican dealers: Grupo Continental, Grupo Cleber, Grupo Dalton, Grupo Excelencia, Grupo Farrera, Grupo Fame, Liverpool and Grupo del Rincón, aiming to provide local consumers with high-quality new energy vehicle sales and after-sales service.
In this test drive experience, the invited media not only praised the two models of BYD Tang and Han. Zou Zhou, country manager of BYD Mexico Branch, said: “We are very pleased to see BYD take a new step in Mexico. Over the past nine years, we have made important progress in the local new energy taxi, truck and forklift market, and now we have another Ushered in the entry of passenger vehicles into the Mexican market.”

According to data from Statista, a world-renowned statistics platform, 50% of pollution emissions in Mexico are generated during the use of electricity and transportation, and one-fifth of them come from vehicle exhaust emissions. Therefore, reducing vehicle exhaust emissions will be the top priority of local sustainable development, and green travel will be the future trend in Mexico and the world.
